Structure of the Internet pages

Each page in the barrier-free version of this website begins with the navigation. The navigation contains four links: "Start page", "Menu", "Display options" and "Instructions for use" (this page). Click on the menu to navigate through the application. The menu item "Display options" allows you to adapt the text and background colour, in addition to the font size of the website.

The current path under which a page is located is displayed under the navigation. If, for example, you have opened the "Foreword" page, the "Company / Foreword" path will be displayed (compare Menu). The contents of a page are displayed under the current path.

The Direct navigation, in which the most important links of the nb.bayer.de Internet application are to be found, is located at the end of each page. Furthermore, further topic-related links if available are highlighted in addition to a link "go to Menu".

In the barrier-free version of this website, each page may also be optionally controlled from the keyboard. By pressing the [Tab] key, you can jump to a page and navigate from top to bottom through all the links. If you keep the shift key depressed at the same time, this occurs in reverse order.

Furthermore, keyboard shortcuts are available to you, with which you can jump to special links in a page:
  • [Alt] + S : Start page
  • [Alt] + M : Menu
  • [Alt] + O : Display options
  • [Alt] + I : Instructions for use
  • [Alt] + Arrow up: scroll up
  • [Alt] + Arrow down: scroll down
  • [Alt] + 1 : First sublevel
  • [Alt] + 2 : Second sublevel

The following keyboard shortcuts are used to jump to a link in the current path:
  • [Alt] + 1 : First level (e.g.: Bayer Group)
  • [Alt] + 2 : Second level (e.g.: Profile and Organization)
  • [Alt] + x : xth level

Please note that after pressing a combination of keys, the Internet Explorer requires validation by pressing the [Enter] key in order to open a link; Netscape browsers on the other hand react straight away. Furthermore, further keyboard shortcuts are available in many browsers; please refer to the respective browser documentation for these.
