Research at Bayer Technology Services

All the subgroups work hand in hand with Bayer Technology Services on engineering and technology issues, particularly in the area of process technology. This service company evolves innovative technology platforms to speed up development work and support the realization of new products, system solutions and production processes in the subgroups.

These “enabling technologies” help to speed up the development of new products, system solutions and production processes in the subgroups.

A core strategic element in this regard is the international insourcing of knowledge: This includes drawing on country-specific expertise in the implementation of capital expenditure projects, globally exploiting innovations, securing public research funding, recruiting international experts and setting up collaborations with other companies and research institutes. One example is the acquisition of the Novartis spin-off external link: Zeptosens AG, whose highly sensitive biochip systems can considerably reduce development times for active ingredients at Bayer HealthCare and Bayer CropScience.
